More In the Series!

What if your life wasn’t your own to live?

In a world controlled by EchoLink, a system that assigns every person their ‘perfect’ role, individuality is a distant memory. Rowan Greer, an ornithologist resigned to a life of monotony, never questioned the system—until his rebellious niece Lyra drags him into a secret rebellion.

What starts as a flicker of curiosity leads Rowan to a shocking truth: EchoLink isn’t just a tool for order, but a cage designed to suppress creativity and control humanity. Together with a band of rebels, Rowan and Lyra uncover a dangerous fail-safe buried in the system’s code—The Humanoid Disconnect. Activating it could dismantle the system forever… but it comes with a cost that could plunge society into chaos.

As the enforcers close in and time runs out, Rowan must decide: Will he risk everything to free humanity, or will fear keep him trapped in the life he’s always known?

The Echoed Mind is the first in a gripping two-part series that explores the tension between stability and freedom, the power of creativity, and the courage it takes to reclaim your identity in a world that wants to define it for you.

Would you choose the life handed to you… or fight for the one you deserve?

Target Audience: Generation X and Millennials

About Zoey Michaels:

Zoey Michaels is a firm believer that the best tales come from seeing the world just a little differently. She likes to think of herself as a chef in the kitchen of imagination, taking the everyday ‘ingredients’ of life—emotions, experiences, and those quiet, unnoticed moments—and turning them into something truly unique.

When asked, Zoey described her approach to storytelling this way, ‘There’s a line from a song in Sweet Home Alabama about “thinking sideways,” and that’s exactly how I approach my writing. I mix the unexpected with the familiar, creating stories that feel like home but leave you seeing the world in a whole new way.’

Having spent years behind the scenes honing her craft, Zoey recently stepped out of the shadows to embrace her voice as an independent writer. Her goal is to tell stories that resonate on a personal level while offering readers an opportunity to see the world through a distinctive lens.

A book launch will be held for attendees of the Wordbridge Writers’ Conference in Lethbridge, Alberta (which Jenna helped found) on Saturday, April 18; a second launch, open to the public, will be held at Lethbridge’s Analog Books on Thursday, May 7, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

‘I’m excited to be publishing this exciting and heartwarming young adult romantasy,’ says Edward Willett, publisher of Shadowpaw Press. ‘While Shadowpaw Press publishes books in many different genres, young adult fantasy has always been close to my heart as an author, reader, and publisher. I look forward to readers discovering this wonderful tale.’

More about Broken Realm

In a world torn by divine betrayal, two lost souls must face a god’s wrath—or lose their love to an eternal rift.

Keely Thompkins, a seamstress bound by fear of the unknown, finds refuge in the quiet of her attic. Briggs Ray, a woodsman scarred by a solitary past, survives on wit and defiance in a village that overlooks him. During a vibrant festival, a shimmering portal steals them from their home, leaving their town vanished and their bodies marked by the enigmatic gods, Ahisa and Menor. Stranded in a realm warped by the Great Rift—a celestial schism spawning deadly frosts and monstrous skitters—they forge a fragile bond to survive.

As they navigate a land of quaking earth and predatory shadows, guided by strangers who revere their marks as divine, Keely and Briggs uncover a perilous truth: they are chosen to mend the rift between the gods, a task that has claimed countless lives. Their love, tested by Teulin—a merciless entity born of the gods’ discord—grows amidst trials of drowning rivers, scorching suns, and haunting memories. With time running out, they must confront Ahisa’s guarded heart and Menor’s remorse, risking not just their lives but the very love that anchors them.

Will their faith in each other prove stronger than a god’s vengeance, or will they become another sacrifice to a fractured eternity?

A mesmerising tale of love, sacrifice, and defiance, Broken Realm charts a perilous journey where the heart’s courage is the only star to guide a lost soul home.

Praise for Broken Realm

‘An intriguing romantic fantasy. Two societies divided by a longtime rift; confusing expectations thrust upon Keely and Briggs; battling gods... Are they the long-awaited couple who will set things right, after countless others have failed? This engaging fantasy will plunge readers into the midst of these issues. It also explores the depths of our human connections.’—Alison Lohans, award-winning author of The Wind and Amanda’s Cello; Timefall; Don’t Think Twice, and many more books for young readers.

Death On the Rocks
A Suzanne Rickson Mystery

The Second Instalment of the acclaimed mystery series continues by author Erik D’Souza

The book is published by Timbercrest Publishing and is available worldwide in eBook and paperback format
In the mood for an idyllic escape? Death on the Rocks will transport you right to the sunshine coast, where a community theatre event finds its members dying, and only senior citizen sleuth Suzanne must use her experience and intuition to follow the all too human twists to the real killer, before the company runs out of understudies.

Every amateur detective secretly believes they are smarter than the police. Suzanne Rickson doesn’t think that. She has faith in Sergeant Bridges’ assessment that the director of their seniors’ theatre troupe, the beloved Wilbur Ghostkeeper, most likely slipped and perished on the rocky shoreline of the Salish Sea.

But Suzanne quickly regrets her naïveté after Wilbur’s widow is violently robbed and assaulted.

Is it too late to investigate the likelihood that whoever attacked the widow may have murdered her husband? Suzanne reluctantly accepts the truth that, yes, she is brighter than the police, and without her, a killer would go free.

More In The Series!
Death in Halfmoon Bay is the first novel in the Suzanne Rickson Mystery series. A twisted act of love, relentless politics, and multiple poisonings pit neighbour against neighbour in what was once a serene West Coast retirement community. Suzanne is more than a clever and resourceful sleuth; she is a doting grandmother and devoted Christian who often seeks advice from her cherished priest, Father O’Brian.

The story unfolds when a friend and neighbour, Adeline, is poisoned and dies, prompting a police investigation. Suzanne is confident that her nemesis, Regina Snow, is the culprit behind the murder of the HOA treasurer.

When a rumour re-surfaces that her husband, Charles Rickson, was having an affair with the deceased, Suzanne realizes that everyone, including the police, considers her the prime suspect. As evidence piles up against her, Suzanne finds herself in a precarious situation, needing to prove her own innocence.

The novel weaves together elements of rivalry, jealousy, and relentless politics, creating a tantalising whodunit that keeps readers guessing until the very end. Interestingly, the characters of Suzanne and her husband, Charles Rickson, are inspired by the author’s actual parents, and the book’s premise mirrors a real-life dust-up his parents had with their HOA president.

Ace of Shades
A Humorous Paranormal Women’s Fiction

Bestselling author Deborah Wilde concludes her critically acclaimed Magic After Midlife series in this funny, sexy urban fantasy adventure.

Published by Te Da Media Inc and is available worldwide in e-book, paperback, and audiobook format

Gehenna isn’t on Google Maps and there’s no Angel Annihilation for Dummies. To Miriam Feldman, list lover extraordinaire, this is an irritating oversight.
It’s fine. She’s got this mission under control. Sure, her instructions are vague, and her team is trigger-happy, but she’s got plenty of motivation to carry them to victory.

Vengeance counts, right?

Plus, if ridding the world of celestial menaces doesn’t top up Miri’s karmic bank, then stopping a vampire contagion will definitely earn her some good will.

Unless it gets her killed. That’s a distinct possibility.

One which she refuses to worry about since she’s got her shiny new relationship with a sexy wolf shifter to enjoy. And honestly, his family dysfunction is making hers look pretty damn insignificant.

How’s that for positive thinking? She’s going to nail this.

Happily ever-after, here she comes.

Ace of Shades, the thrilling finale, features a later in life romance, a heart-pounding mystery, and a magical midlife adventure.
Books Archive—Author Deborah Wilde

‘It’s not always easy to navigate a paranormal author’s fictitious world. I’ve given up on many a novel that makes me feel like I’m wandering through a dense jungle without a map. Instead of leaving you to your own devices, Wilde hands you a smartphone, complete with a GPS tracker and hiking app. She orients you in the story and steers you where you need to go to understand the players and the conflict. And she does it in a way that prompts laugh-out-loud moments of pure giddy satisfaction.’BookTribe

‘Brilliant having a main FMC who was over 40. Not to mention a supporting cast who all deserved Oscars for being so entertaining. I laughed so hard at some parts. A very refreshing read; great chemistry and romance between the two lead characters (the wolf is HOT), intriguing plot, plenty of relatable humour, very well written... I hard time putting it down. Highly recommended.’Louise L.
About Deborah:

Deborah Wilde is a global wanderer and hopeless romantic. After twelve years as a screenwriter, she was also a total cynic with a broken edit button, so, she jumped ship, started writing funny, sexy urban fantasy books and never looked back.

She loves writing smart, flawed, wisecracking women who can solve a mystery, kick supernatural butt, banter with hot men, and still make time for their best female friend, because those were the women she grew up around and admired. Granted, her grandmother never had a to kill a demon at her weekly friend lunches, but Deborah is pretty sure she could have.

Smart (ass) heroines. Epic magic. Red-hot romance.

Pronounced Deb-O-rah.
